Beginning Tuesday, May 2nd, Keystone Rural Health Consortia, Inc. is lifting its mask mandate. Universal masking will no longer be required. Masking is now optional for patients, visitors, and employees at all KRHC locations. Masking continues to be encouraged for those with respiratory/COVID-19 symptoms, unvaccinated, or immunosuppressed. We will continue to have masks available in our facilities for those choosing to wear one.
We are able to safely make this change as COVID-19 cases and community spread have decreased. If a patient prefers that a KRHC provider and clinical staff wear a mask while providing care, we will do so as requested.
We will continue to adjust our policies to best serve our communities. This may include requiring masking again in the fall, to help limit the spread of influenza and other respiratory viruses among patients and healthcare staff.
